ALL AMERICAN HERO PAT TILLMAN

Friends and Family are invited to download a print resolution file HERE.
Angels have long been believed to possess the power to protect, console and heal, especially during difficult times. This particular image of the ALL AMERICAN HERO Angel was chosen for its inspiring beauty, strength and courage, qualities that characterize firefighters everywhere who risk their lives help others.

Actor Jon Voight (r) and Pat Tillman's father pause before the ArtAID Pat Tillman Honorary Firefighter banner, which was presented by the FDNY Fire Family Transport.

All American Hero Pat Tillman Killed in Afghanistan.

ARIZONA, --April 22, 2004. A former professional football player who walked away from a multimillion-dollar NFL career to join the Army Rangers was killed during a firefight while on combat patrol in Afghanistan.

In a selfless act of courage, honor and commitment, Pat Tillman gave his life for what he believed in, to defend his country in the war against terrorism. He was inspired by September 11th, 2001.

"Pat Tillman personified all the best values of his country and the NFL," commissioner Paul Tagliabue said in a statement. "He was an achiever and leader on many levels who always put his team, his community, and his country ahead of his personal interests."

The ArtAID Pat Tillman Memorial prints hang at the temporary Arizona Memorial installation. Banners were posted and remembrance cards were given to the Tillman Family by local residents (thanks Barb).
