ArtAID thanks you for you interest in our unique projects such as the free distribution of memorial images to those most effected by the September 11 attack on the World Trade Center. With your support we already distributed thousands of beautiful prints to the FDNY, NYPD and EMS and sponsored numerous charitable events, but we still have ongoing requests.
We need your support to continue this valuable service. Purchasing works through ArtAID also provides the general public with the unique opportunity to obtain these works, that are not available commercially anywhere.
While in our infancy, ArtAID is very much in need of financial assistance to develop this philanthropic vision. In addition, we wish to invite artists to get involved by creating works that may become a part of the ArtAID charitable auctions, that one day may function like an eBay, but for the arts and to raise funds for charity. We seek the most skilled programmers, internet service providers and others to help us build and maintain this site. We need designers to be involved in the creation of a beautiful online experience, one that direct funds immediately to select charities through customized online transactions.
ArtAID calls on all professional artists to submit work for consideration to be auctioned on www.ArtAID.org, and we invite all galleries and art institutions to become affiliate organizations and to participate in future online auctions for select charitable causes.
ArtAID is a works closely with numerous community organizations and other non-profit causes. ArtAID would like to thank the following organizations for help and support: Septembers Mission and the Living Memorial Project, Skyscraper Safety Campaign, World Trade Center for Proper Burial, 9/11 Widows and Victims Family's Association, The Steven Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, New York State Historical Museum, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, ColorEdge Visuals, NYPD Emergency Services Unit, Uniformed Firefighters Association, Dupont Graphics, NYPD Community Affairs, Trinity Church and St. Paul's, Roland DGA, Rett Syndrome Foundation, Staten Island Council on the Humanities, Specialty Signs, Colorprint Craftsmen, Oce Inkjet, Mayor's Office of Emergency Mangement, Millennium Protective Services, Inc., Northfork Bank and the Coalition of Families of September 11th.
